On Thursday, John, Sirius, and I spent Thanksgiving with our friends, Dave and Samiko. She is a great cook! We enjoyed turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, asparagus, broccoli, rolls, and the best homemade apple pie a la mode ever! Thank you both! I am thankful to God for all the blessings in my life. I am happy that my husband is home safe. I pray for all US troops serving to protect the freedoms of our nation. I am grateful to have a job during this recession and hope that the economy turns around soon. I feel especially blessed to have a beautiful, good doggy. Most of all, I am thankful for my wonderful family!

I have made minor edits and added content to the local Toys for Tots website to help my husband, who is the local coordinator. I am proud of his efforts in helping make the holidays brighter for children in need.

On Saturday, John and I attended the 234th Marine Corps Birthday Ball at the Century Center. We were joined by our friends, David, Deb, Heidi, Paige, Eva, the Judge, Dave, and Samiko. Some minor drama ensued regarding table seating and stuff, which I admit I was a part of. Unfortunately, my mood was already dampened before the ball by the discovery that my new camera had broken! And I couldn't find my old one. Anyway, John did a great job coordinating the event. The ceremony went well. The presentation was nice. The food was good. And the venue was lovely. We enjoyed the after-party at Fiddler's Hearth and Club Noma. Belated happy birthday, Marines!

I went to 2 Halloween bashes this year. On Friday, I dressed up as a scrub nurse. John made his costume, as he normally does. He dressed as the Joker nurse from The Dark Knight . Our friend David also wore scrubs. We went to the 95.3 WAOR FM Halloween Howl 5. And John won in the category of scariest costume! On Saturday, I dressed up as a witch in my fave Halloween outfit that I've had for a few years. John wore his Joker nurse costume again. He made his makeup more sinister this time. We went to Club Landing. We had a great time overall. Congratulations to John!
